It will help you keep your heart right when "money cometh." God wants you prosperous so you can destroy the works of the Devil. Yes, you need to pray but it takes more than prayer alone. It takes money too. The second reason God wants you rich is to spread the Gospel. So you can support your pastor, build the buildings, and send the missionaries. God's third purpose for your wealth is so you may live an abundant life to show the world that He takes care of His children. Jesus said in John 10:10 that He came that "you might have life and have it more abundantly." You don't have an abundant life if you're living from paycheck to paycheck."
