Paul Cain
Hear the warning from Jonathan Edwards from the danger of going outside of God's complete and revealed word:
"That it is God's manner in these days, to guide his saints, at least some that are more eminent, by inspiration, or by immediate revelation. They suppose he makes known to them what shall come to pass hereafter, or what it is his will that they should do, by impressions made upon their minds, either with or without texts of Scripture: whereby something is made known to them that is not taught in the Scripture. By such a notion the devil has a great door opened for him, and if once this opinion should come to be fully yielded to, and established in the church of God, Satan would have an opportunity thereby to set himself as the guide and oracle of God's people..." Thoughts on the Revival, Works IV page 404.
George Whitefield has this to say about seeking signs and experiences:
"I think it is tempting God to require such signs...I think it will encourage the French Prophets, take people from the written word, and make them depend on visions, convulsions, etc., more than the promises and precepts of the gospel," PFO Quarterly Journal, July-September 2002, page 1.
Paul Cain:
"No prophet or apostle who ever lived equaled the power of these individuals in this great army of the Lord in these last days. No one ever had it, not even Elijah or Peter or Paul, or anyone else enjoyed the power that is gong to rest on this great army. "
Though William Branham denied the historic, orthodox view of the Trinity Paul Cain had this to say about him, "The greatest prophet that ever lived in any of my generations or any of the generations of revival I've lived through."
Paul Cain himself says that the power that rests upon him is, at times, so potent that it "Will knock out the cameras and knock out the phone lines and knock out the power lines and set off the fire alarms like it did in Kansas City."
"God's raising up a new standard, a new banner, if you will, that's going to radically change the expression, the understanding of Christianity in our generation...God has invited us to have a role in establishing a new order of Christianity...God is offering to this generation something He has never offered to any other generation...beware lest old order brethren rob you and steal this hope from you."
"For quite a while I have been embarrassed to say anything about the latter rain, because you are associated and identified with something that people don't seem to appreciate in certain evangelical circles. So I have played it cool and haven't said much about it. But I don't care what they think any more... I believe we are going to have the latter rain and I am looking forward to it."

"…I know some of you are going to disagree with this. Don't you even stop to disagree. Revelation 12:5. If you disagree, just file it in ‘miscellaneous’ and check it out. And do not bother with it; when we get to heaven we'll check it out and you'll find out I'm right…"
