"Where there is doubt concerning the will of God, faith very simply cannot exist. I use to pray these words, 'If it be thy will for healing,' before I read and believed God's word. Since I was a good christian boy, I would get on my knee's like many of you and I'd pray, 'Oh God!' I thought for many years that God's first name was oh. 'Oh God, if it's your will heal this person.' Do you know what my doubt filled prayers produced? Seven members of my immediate family died within 18 months. I practically grew up in a funeral home listening to preacher after preacher explain how it was God's will that another flower was picked for the bouquet in heaven...Let's settle the matter once and for all, God doesn't want you sick."

How can you be a compelling witness for Him with tubes coming out of your body? How can you be a persuasive witness of His power when you are bound to a hospital bed taking all types of medication?"

Note: (See Article: Christians and Sickness) This is so cruel to the many people in hospitals, wheelchairs, etc. I don't know how a "preacher" could utter such a stumbling block before the body of Christ. What will this do to the many sick or infirmed christians? I know, the Word Faith teaching is that it is your own fault for being sick. They teach that it is because of your lack of faith and/or knowledge if you are sick or poor.

See how God has used Joni Eareckson Tada to reach and inspire many people for Christ while bound to a wheelchair. God's power is made perfect in weakness! For your information, Joni sought out faith healer Kathryn Kulman and she didn't heal her. Joni left the same way that she came, in a wheelchair.

The Apostle Paul had a thorn in the flesh that was particularly troublesome. He asked the Lord three times to take it away but God said, "no." Despite God's refusal to heal him, Paul rejoiced because of his infirmities:

"For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong," 2 Corinthians 12:8-10.

"Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first. And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus," Galatians 4:13-14.

"I've noticed something about hospitals. They have an entrance for visitors. You can walk right in there, witness, preach the gospel, tell the lame to get up, tell the blind to see, and then walk right out. If the Lord wants you to go to a hospital to be a witness, then go because you want to demonstrate the power of God."

Note: (See artice: Sick Faith Healers) There is a slight problem with this teaching. Why has Rod Parsley admitted on TBN that his bad back has kept him out of the pulpit for weeks at a time? Why aren't these faith healers doing what Rod is saying here? Why aren't they going to hospitals to

"demonstrate the power of God?"

Why? Is it because they can't heal? Is it because many of them are sick and wear glasses? If Rod Parsley can heal the blind how much easier to give a person 20/20 vision! Why do so many faith healers wear glasses?

"Matthew 18:17 declares, 'Himself, Jesus took our infirmities, He bare our sicknesses.' If Jesus bore them it would be an insult for God to require you to carry them now, also. So, release them, even in this moment. Let God take that burden, take that pain and bare it away."

Note: Again, since bad eyesight is a result of the natural aging process and Rod teaches that we should not be sick in any way, why do so many faith teachers wear glasses?

Note: Can this number be accurate? That is over 8,500 people a day getting saved! If this is true this has to be the greatest revival in recorded history. I watch Rod Parsley on television and he rarely preaches the gospel. He mostly speaks of getting blessed (Money) and getting healed (Physically).

I need you to understand that God wants to bring you out of your situation by planting a seed. I need you to know that this is a prophetic moment. Here in the book of Acts we have the begining if you will of the infant church. Now, if your not going to jingle those phones I'm going to stop! So, you go right now to your phone. You say, 'But pastor Rod, I don't have a $100, I don't have a $1,000,' But you have a $100. You don't have $500, but you have a $100. If you don't have a $1,000, that's alright we will take $10,000! Just go right now and dial that number on the screen. Cause, I'm not going to upstage the Holy Ghost. Now, we are in a Holy Ghost moment."

"The annointing is not some mystical thing. It's not some commodity to which only the Gospel elite have access. Some people will drive all across the country and spend all their savings to chase after that 'Special one' who has the healing anointing. That's idolatry, and we, as the body of Christ, have to come out of that. Let the body of Christ have no other gods before us but Jesus, reserrected from the dead, having paid the price for our total healing and deliverance."

Note: How does this apply to him giving away his 'anointed' prayer cloths? Look at his quote from his website:

"God can use your prayer cloth to tangibly transfer His supernatural, healing touch from the anointing of my ministry and life into yours just as He did with Paul."

Is this not the idolatry that he was speaking against? Is this not the "Gospel elite" that he castigated? Did he not say, "The annointing is not some mystical thing. It's not some commodity to which only the Gospel elite have access?"

"I feel my pastor, he said, 'I'd say this word one time on television and 100,000 homosexuals and lesbians would be instantly set free.' I'm about to, I'm about to declare your freedom. Shout and take authority over that spirit. Cast it down! Cast down that lie. Cast down that deception! Cast it down! Cast it down! Cast it down! When I say three. When I say three. When I say three. You shout two words, 'Come out!' I did this the other day. Two lesbians were having perverted sex, drinking alcohol, and snorting cocaine. But when I shouted, 'Come out' their glasses burst in their hands and they slithered out of the bed and got gloriously born again and filled with the Holy Ghost."

"He [Lester Sumrall] took a left hand and slapped it on a right jaw and a right hand and slapped it on a left jaw. And with the authority of heaven and to the shagrin of hell he shouted those words, 'Come out of him!' Immediately, Immediately that devil fell to the ground. That man got up from the ground speaking with other tongues gloriously saved and filled with the Holy Ghost."

Note: Rod told this "story" of his old pastor Lester Sumrall while in a jungle came upon a witch doctor making spells with a dead frog. Lester went up to him and said the above which I quoted. How can a person be saved without hearing the Gospel? Later that day according to Rod Parsley Lester Sumrall went to his "mud hut" and the devil he had cast out earlier came into his room shaking his bed to the center of the floor. Lester rebuked the devil and it left. Then Lester called the Devil back to put his bed where it was before and the Devil shook the bed again till it was back earlier in the day. Rod told us to do the same to the Devil and tell him to put the things he has taken from us back into our life.

At Rod Parsley's Dominion Camp Meeting July 4-9 2004 his fellow speakers will be: Benny Hinn, Bishop Eddie Long, and Juanita Bynum. Rod Parsley called these people "great generals of the faith."
